I loved the fact that I could enter the pedestrian zone with my car, it felt like a secret agent mission! The hotel also had a beautiful garden in the remains of a Roman fortress, perfect for pretending I'm an ancient warrior. The free breakfast buffet was a nice touch too.
They only serve meals in the restaurant and the wine cellar for groups, guess I'm not important enough.

Nicoletta and Gabro were amazing hosts. The food was terrific and the ambiance of the hotel is superb. The gardens and the artwork are really gorgeous. You feel as though you are in a grand and gracious home, not a hotel.
Towels are too small and too thin.

The owner and staff were all very welcoming and helpful (as well as speaking English well). The rooms were beautiful, spacious and recaptured its medieval history. The Roman ruins that were attached were also presented so tastefully. A truly memorable experience.

The staff was helpful with our baggage. the hotel is located in a historic area, not far from the Fire Tower. - Situated in a peaceful neighborhood right next to the charming historical center of Sopron, where you can easily access the city's historical sites, cozy cafes, shops, and the train station.

The hotel's location is quiet and in the heart of the old town.
The hotel has no air conditioning so that the windows must stay open in the rooms and in the hallways. The problem is that in July there are a great many mosquitoes. Sleeping is very difficult with mosquitoes buzzing by one's ears. The hotel would be better in the months when there are no mosquitoes! The breakfast is mediocre compared to most other hotels we've stayed at in Hungary and Austria. The hotel restaurant is also full of mosquitoes.

The hotel itself was beautifully appointed and we loved our room. It was luxurious, and comfortable. But the staff were easily the highlight - so friendly and accommodating. They made this one of the most memorable stays of our trip
There was nothing to fault. We were just disappointed to be there on a Sunday when the restaurant was closed. If it was anything like the rest of our experience, it would have been sensational!

Great location, beautiful building, lovely room. Friendly and helpful staff, especially at reception. Accessible by car. Modern and clean facilities, including bathroom. Motorbike parking available in inner courtyard. Wide choice for breakfast, with hot dishes made to order. Extensive breakfast buffet. Well situated in the center of the baroque city. Owners provided helpful advice for navigating street construction. No issues with noise.
